Portrait of Sergeant James Harry Lacey one of the RAF’s most successful and courageous pilots in the battle of Britain 1940. On 13th Sept 1940, Buckingham Palace was bombed by a Heinkel and “Ginger” was ordered to look out for it and succeeded in shooting it down.

This artwork comes framed in a bespoke Oak frame lined in linen. The wood is stained charcoal with a polished wax finish and is subtly gilded in 23ct gold along the inner step of the frame. It comes glazed with anti-reflective glass with UV protective properties.
